Puzzling Evidence
So about a week ago, I picked up a book called "What If", which is a collection of various essays written by historians interested in Alternative History. All the classics are covered: "What if D-Day had failed?", "What if Washington hadn't escaped from the battle of Long Island?," What if the Allies never cracked the Enigma code?', etc. Some of the essays are pretty neifty.
Last night, however, after finishing up one of my massive mid-semester projects, I tuned in to the Discovery Channel to unwind. I catch a bit of this program called "Stone Age Columbus". They shot the whole thing as a re-inactment with a narrarator commenting as things move along. I came in to the show late, so I'm not quite sure what's going on. All I know is that the actors playing the first inhabitents of North America are quite European looking. I figured someone decided to get cheapy actors from central casting, rather then go with the traditional Native American actors to play these roles.
Turns out I'm completely wrong.
Holy moley! You mean the history of the settlement of North America which has been taught for ages in public schools may be wrong?
This is very cool.
