For the MMORPG Impaired

For those of you who are not regular players of any of the various online RPGs, you may soon be hearing a term reach the collective use. This term is "Leeroy". For a concise definition, please turn your attention to the Urban Dictionary.

To gain further understanding of the term, please consult the following link. WARNING: While humorous, it is video and thereby not dial-up friendly. There is also some debate as to the authenticity of the following. There are some who believe that this was a staged event, much like the moon landing.

That is all.

File Under: No Big Surprise

So I've got 24 more hours left on my internship (that's total, not consecutive) and I get called into the office at the archive today. Turns out the L.I. Studies Institute is getting a state grant that will put a little extra scratch in the budget. This means they get to hire another part-time person to help process the collection. That person would be me.

I have to wait a few more weeks while the grant goes through the paperwork process before I find out more details, but basically I told them I had an offer for more hours at the library after my internship was finished, but I'd go where the money is.

Hopefully it will be enough to justify the drive into Nassau on a regular basis. If it's enough to make me willing to battle the Southern State, I'm in.
